Irene’s Gentle Yoga classes are for anyone who is looking to improve their strength and flexibility in a safe, friendly and supportive atmosphere. They fill up quickly, so be sure to register early!

CardioMix with Charlene
Join Charlene as she leads you through this fun and dynamic group fitness class for adults of all ages! In a safe, “go at your own pace” atmosphere, you’ll get your body moving – building strength, flexibility, balance and, of course, improving your cardiovascular health too! Participants should be prepared to ‘go to the mat’ to reap the best benefits from the core and flexibility exercises. The class finishes with some deep breathing and a short guided mindfulness meditation, leaving you refreshed and centred.
*Memberships to the North McIntyre Rec Centre are $10.00 annually per person or per family. You can add that amount to your registration if you would like to benefit from member rates throughout the year!

This gentle program is designed for older adults who are looking for a basic strength, stretch and balance program, with light cardiovascular exercise that supports healthy aging.
Each day, we focus on improving functional strength and movement using light handweights, bands and other fitness “toys”. It’s a “go at your own pace”, do what you can and try new things program all wrapped up into a supportive and fun atmosphere!
This program is led by Charlene Rogers, our centre coordinator.
