Irene’s Gentle Yoga classes are for anyone who is looking to improve their strength and flexibility in a safe, friendly and supportive atmosphere. They fill up quickly, so be sure to register early!

CardioMix with Charlene
💥 Get moving with CardioMix! 💥
Join Charlene for a fun, high-energy group fitness class that blends cardio, strength, balance, and flexibility—all in a welcoming, go-at-your-own-pace environment. Each class uses a variety of equipment like resistance bands, weights, gliding discs, and Bender Balls to keep things fresh and engaging. Expect some mat work and a couple of short Tabata rounds for an optional heart-pumping challenge. All levels welcome—options always provided! 💪🧘♀️
*Memberships to the North McIntyre Rec Centre are $10.00 annually per person or per family. You can add that amount to your registration if you would like to benefit from member rates throughout the year!

This gentle program is designed for older adults who are looking for a basic strength, stretch and balance program, with light cardiovascular exercise that supports healthy aging.
Each day, we focus on improving functional strength and movement using light hand weights, bands and other fitness “toys”. It’s a “go at your own pace”, do what you can and try new things program all wrapped up into a supportive and fun atmosphere!
This program is led by Charlene Rogers, our centre’s Executive Director.
